Positive Outcomes Charter School welcomed its first students 28 years ago.  The charter school was founded by a group of educators and physicians who recognized that students struggling with mental health issues were an underserved population in desperate need of a small school setting that was not tied to district rules or geographic boundaries.   Positive Outcomes, which serves students in the seventh through the twelfth grades, has evolved from its first days when it was located in a building formerly a Department of Motor Vehicles inspection station. However, its core mission of providing individualized attention for students at risk of academic failure has never wavered.

I am excited to welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year.  Over the past few years, our school has been transformed into one that focuses on students and their potential.  At our school, we identify each student's passions and interests.  We then turn these into learning goals.

Our ultimate goal is that every student is successful at whatever the future may hold for him or her. We strive to turn around academic careers that may not have started as well as they could. We also continue to develop strengths that are just starting to emerge.

Parents and guardians are an integral part of our school family.  We seek to work as a collaborative team that focuses on student success.  As part of our family, we encourage you to speak with us whenever needed.  If you have any questions, please let us know.  If you need advice, let us know.  If you need anything, we will be there to support you.

Our school is unique.  Not many schools in the country are doing what we are doing.  However, we feel that our work is so important to the lives of our students.
